Subject: Hi
Barbara
Hi Group,
I have been asked by other members to tell
the group about an odor control I have been using for several
months on grease traps and interceptors...THIS IS NOT A SALES
PLUG...This stuff works great...The hardest part of maintaining
a grease program is having the traps cleaned regularly, i.e.
weekly...Grease traps and interceptors smell...BAD...and these
business owners don't want to stink up their restaurants (and
the nearby surrounding areas) when the trap is opened whether
for inspection or cleaning...At several schools, the entire
cafeteria staff left when I inspected their traps (milk and
salad dressing are the worst for smell), and refused to return
until the air cleared...There were restaurants that refused to
allow me to inspect their traps during business hours...The cure
for this problem was to get rid of the odor...So I tried
everything (as a spray, not an additive), big orange, citrus
masking agents, pinesol, Lysol, bleach and other assorted
products which did not work...I spent a lot of time researching
the odor problems and methods of controlling them...I then
contacted Odor Control and talked to Barbara Lang
(noodors@msn.com 1-888-948-3956)... I asked for and got
samples of different odor barrier products...Let me tell you, I
fell in love with 10195-WS citrus/floral...This stuff really
works...Mix 2 oz in a spray bottle, couple of sprays before
opening and a couple more directly into the trap and the odor is
trapped, there is little if any discernable odor (bend over a
grease trap, open the lid and it hits you like a wave
of...)...The cafeteria ladies cautiously approached after I
opened their trap and were amazed that there was no odor, just
the pleasant smell of citrus...When cleaning the trap they will
need to occasionally reinforce by more sprays...Bottom line my
job is a lot easier...Barbara said she'd supply free samples for
those interested...Again this is not a sales plug, but just a
way to make a nasty job easier...
